Teachers Have Class from Unique Teaching Resources!
The free teaching resources in this November edition of my newsletter are all
related to Fall and Thanksgiving.
About 75% of the teachers who visit my website and subscribe to Teachers Have Class are from the
United States. In this edition of my newsletter, I have included 5 fun Thanksgiving puzzles that will only be
useful to American teachers.
For the other free resources that I selected to include for this month, I chose
teaching resources with autumn themes and graphics so that they could be used by all of the teachers who
subscribe to my newsletter.
This November edition of Teachers Have Class

removed. Then, I will post this newsletter on my website so that teachers
who visit Unique Teaching Resources will be able to read old editions
of Teachers Have Class.
Although teachers who visit my website can read all of the previous editions
of my newsletters, I only provide these free monthly teaching resources to the teachers
who have signed up to receive Teachers Have Class. These free resources are
my small way of thanking these teachers for their support and interest.
1. Free Printable Worksheets For Thanksgiving and November
(matching bulletin board display banner and printable worksheets)
In each of my newsletters, I include a free set of creative writing
teaching resources that contains a bulletin board display banner and matching printable
worksheets.
During the month of November, to tie in with Thanksgiving, have your students write thank you letters.
This is the perfect time of the school year for your students to think about someone that they are thankful for and to show their appreciation by writing this person a thank you letter.

2. Reading Leaves You Smiling Sticker Chart Set
Fall Sticker Chart Set
Reading Leaves You Smiling is a sticker chart set that will help you to motivate your students to read 10 books this fall.
Cut out your students' sticker chart templates along the thick black border and you will have unique leaf shaped sticker charts to record the number of books that your students have read.
This set of teaching resources includes:
- black and white sticker chart template
- color sticker chart template (9 different colors)
- 5 page bulletin board display banner (shown above)
- parent letter and reading record sheet
- leaf bulletin board accent pieces
This set of teaching resources includes 6 colorful leaves to use as bulletin board accent pieces to help you create your eye-catching fall bulletin board display. There are also 6 black and white leaf templates for you to use if you want your students to color the leaves themselves, but these are not shown below.
Below is a letter that you can send home to parents that explains this home reading program, along with the reading record worksheet for parents to sign each time their child reads at home.
This parent letter is in the form of a Microsoft Word Document so that you can edit it to your own word choice.
3. Thanksgiving Puzzles: Teaching Resources Set
The third set of free Thanksgiving teaching resources contains 5 fun puzzles for
your students to complete.
You can use these Thanksgiving puzzles as warm up activities or as a fun assignment that you can give to students who finish their work early.

Puzzle #1
This Thanksgiving Wordsearch Puzzle includes 20 Thanksgiving terms for students to find. Students use the left over letters to solve the riddle at the bottom: "Why didn't the turkey eat dessert? He was stuffed."
Puzzle #2
This Thanksgiving Mixed-Up Letters Puzzle includes 15 Thanksgiving words that have been mixed up. Students use the letter boxes to solve the riddle at the bottom: "Why did they let the turkey join the band? He had the drumsticks."
Puzzle #3
This Thanksgiving Riddle Puzzle has a secret letter code that students have to solve. Students use the letters of the alphabet to solve the riddle at the bottom: "What kind of music did the Pilgrims listen to? They listened to Plymouth Rock."
Puzzle #4
This Thanksgiving Crossword Puzzle includes 17 Thanksgiving clues.
Puzzle #5
For this Thanksgiving Maze, students have to help the Pilgrims find the Mayflower.
4. Printable Calendar for November
Classroom Display and Pocket Chart Calendar Set
Each month I provide a free printable calendar set in my newsletter. These free calendar sets
can be displayed on a bulletin board or placed inside a pocket chart.
Below each calendar set, you will find a list of writing prompts for that month that may spark a creative writing idea that you could use with your students.
Below is my November printable calendar set and the link to download it. The November title is a 2 page banner that should fit in most standardized monthly pocket charts that many teachers use. I have designed large November days of the week that you may find useful. The calendar number dates also fit in pocket charts, and I have included a blank square and a birthday square to use.

5. Thanksgiving and November Writing Prompts

I'm writing to tell you that my students just finished the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory group projects. They worked so hard, and the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory projects turned out great!
